The Graduate Teaching Assistant job role
• Full-time position starting September 2026
• Long-term role for the full academic year
• Supporting pupils with SEN in Early Years and KS1
• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
• Assisting children with communication, social and emotional development
• Supporting pupils with autism, speech and language needs and other additional needs
• Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals
• Gaining valuable hands-on experience within a supportive school environment
Graduate Teaching Assistant – Person Specification
• A degree in any subject
• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with SEN in any setting would be highly beneficial
• School-based experience is advantageous but not essential
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach
• Considering a future career in education or child development
