Primary Teacher – Special School (SEMH) – East London – September or Immediate Start
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Primary Teacher to join a successful special school in East London from September or sooner if available.
The school supports pupils aged 7–16 across Key Stages 2–4 with a range of needs including SEMH and autism. Many students have experienced exclusion from mainstream education and may have EHCPs or be looked after. While not typically aggressive, pupils can present with challenging behaviour.
The school benefits from modern, well-resourced facilities and a highly supportive staff team, with a strong focus on helping pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting behaviour and emotional development
- Working collaboratively within a specialist, supportive team
Requirements:
- QTS and primary teaching experience
- Strong experience supporting SEN/SEMH pupils
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and consistently
- Resilient, patient and committed approach
This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent, so candidates must be able to commit.
