SEN Teacher | Special School | Complex Needs | Primary Provision | Barking
SEN teacher required to start as soon as possible within the primary provision of a special school in Barking.
The school caters for complex needs children working below Key Stage standards. We are looking for a qualified teacher holding QTS or QTLS to join as a class teacher starting this term for a long term ongoing role.
- Take charge of a class with children aged 7-10

- All temporary and permanent SEN Teachers receive regular CPD and continually develop their teaching within a specialised environment.
- Non-verbal class use of structure and symbols throughout the day
- Engagement model and sensory focused curriculum
Please be aware that applicants should have experience of complex SEN and understanding of non-verbal communication and needs.
The successful SEN class teacher will benefit from dedicated in class support from teaching assistant team but please be aware that SEN teachers also support with personal care, changing and basic tasks such as feeding in some cases.
