SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support – Haringey Primary School

A welcoming primary school in Haringey is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with autism, starting immediately and continuing long term.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with an individual child, helping them to access learning and develop confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with autism in Year 1
• Support learning, communication and social development
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to plan effective strategies
• Help create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with autism or other special needs
• Confident, patient and adaptable approach
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
