Teaching Assistant | 1:1 Autism | Haringey
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Haringey is seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism in Year 2 on a 1:1 basis.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, with the opportunity to continue into the next academic year.
The Role
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting a child with Autism in Year 2
- Full-time Primary Teaching Assistant position
- Supporting learning, communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Long-term role with potential for a permanent position
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support autistic pupils
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEN Support Worker is desirable
