An earlier July start may also be available for candidates who would like additional time to settle into the role before the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” school known for its supportive leadership team, strong staff retention, and highly regarded ECT induction programme.

The school is looking for a History Teacher who:

  • Is currently completing a PGCE, SCITT, or other recognised teacher training route
  • Holds (or is predicted) QTS by September
  • Has a History degree or related subject specialism
  • Is passionate about History and committed to inspiring young people
  • Has the ability or ambition to teach up to KS5/A Level
  • Wants to develop within a supportive and collaborative Humanities faculty

The school offers:

  • A structured and supportive ECT programme with experienced mentors
  • A welcoming Humanities department with strong teamwork and collaboration
  • Opportunities to teach across KS3–KS5, including Sixth Form for suitable candidates
  • Excellent CPD and career progression opportunities
  • Strong behaviour systems and a positive learning environment
  • A school culture where many teachers continue to develop long-term careers

The Humanities faculty is made up of passionate teachers who play an active role in wider school life and provide an excellent environment for early career teachers to thrive. Many current middle leaders and experienced teachers at the school began there as ECTs themselves.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a trainee History Teacher looking to start their career in a supportive, high-performing school community.

Interviews are taking place over the coming weeks, so early applications are encouraged. Please send your CV today to be considered.
