Maths Teacher – Special School for Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (BESD/SEMH) – PRU – East London
Maths Teacher required for Alternative Provision in East London 11-16 year olds.
Students at the provision have been excluded from school due to presenting with emotional and behavioural difficulutes (EBD) but they are all academically bright and most are looking to achieve a A-C grade in GCSE Maths.
We are looking for a strong KS3 and GCSE Maths teacher with the ability to use innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience of the pupils, with a view to either reintegrating them back into mainstream education or fulfilling their potential or to go on and gain good GCSE grade within the provision.
As an Maths Teacher at this special school for emotional and behavioural difficulties, you will be teaching in classes of between 5 to 8 pupils. Ideally you should have previous experience working with emotional and behavioural difficulties with a special school or PRU, but a strong mainstream teacher will be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom presence and have a good career record in calming students that can present with challenges in the classroom.
