ARP Teacher – Primary School – Barking (Reception to Year 6) – Immediate
A well-supported primary school in the London Borough of Barking is looking for an experienced ARP Teacher to lead a class of 8 pupils, ranging from Reception to Year 6, all with autism and/or social communication needs.
This is a rewarding role for a confident and knowledgeable teacher with a background in ARP or special school settings. You’ll be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum that includes pre-formal, semi-formal and formal learning approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead teaching and learning in a small, mixed-age ARP class
- Plan and deliver lessons suited to a range of developmental levels
- Manage a small team of support staff within the classroom
- Create a consistent, communication-friendly learning environment
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified teacher with ARP or special school experience
- Strong understanding of autism and social communication needs
- Able to work independently and adapt without formal training
