The successful candidate will teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5 and will play an active role in inspiring students to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

The Design Technology Job Role

• Teaching Design Technology across KS3 to KS5
• Planning and delivering engaging and practical lessons
• Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Contributing to curriculum development within the department
• Supporting enrichment activities and wider school initiatives where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting
• Ability to teach across a range of DT disciplines
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passionate about raising attainment and student achievement
• Committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• The ability to teach Art would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential
