Maths Teacher | September 2026 Start | South London

A well-regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Merton is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026 om a permanent basis.

The school has a diverse student intake, with a higher-than-average proportion of students with SEN, so experience or confidence in supporting a range of learning needs is essential. The school provides a supportive environment with clear behaviour systems and a collaborative staff team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress
  • Support students with varying abilities, including SEN
  • Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths national curriculum (KS3 & KS4)
  • Experience teaching KS5 is desirable
  • Confident classroom practitioner with good behaviour management
  • Ability to support students with additional needs
