Religious Studies Teacher ECT | East London | Inner London Pay Scale | September 2026 Start

Are you currently completing your teacher training and looking for a supportive East London school to begin your ECT induction in September 2026? A large, well-regarded secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Religious Studies Teacher to join their humanities team and build a successful teaching career.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Support students of all abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom standards
• Contribute positively to the humanities department and school community
• Fully participate in the school’s ECT induction programme

Requirements

• Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or related degree (2:1 or above preferred)
• Currently completing PGCE, SCITT, or equivalent teacher training
• Strong subject knowledge at KS3 and KS4
• Motivated, ambitious, and committed to professional growth
• Flexible team player with good classroom management skills
