SEN Teacher – Special School – Complex Needs – Primary Provision – Hackney
We are currently looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive special school in Hackney that caters for children with severe learning difficulties and complex needs within the primary provision.

The Role
- SEN Teacher within a primary complex needs class
- Teaching pupils with severe learning difficulties and additional complex needs
- Small class sizes with strong TA support
- Delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons
- Supporting communication, sensory regulation and life skills development
- Working closely with therapists, support staff and families

The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with severe learning difficulties, complex needs or autism
- Background in special schools, SEN provisions or mainstream SEN settings desirable
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Passionate about inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs
The school is ideally seeking someone with previous complex needs or SLD experience, although passionate teachers with strong SEN backgrounds will also be considered.
